South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Hyun held phone talks on Monday with Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha to review bilateral ties and regional developments.
Cho expressed Seoul’s strong interest in peace negotiations amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and emphasized that South Korea is closely monitoring the situation. He added that Seoul will actively consider ways to contribute to Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.
Sybiha thanked South Korea for its continued support and shared views on recent developments concerning Ukraine and the wider international response. Both ministers also agreed to maintain close communication during upcoming multilateral gatherings, including the UN General Assembly later this month.
