Polish President Karol Nawrocki is set to engage in high-level discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in the United States. The talks are expected to center on security issues, reflecting the growing importance of collaboration between Poland and Turkey on regional stability.
During his visit to the United States, President Nawrocki plans to meet with other key leaders, including those from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. These meetings are anticipated to focus on regional security concerns, underscoring the significance of cooperation among Eastern European nations in the face of evolving geopolitical challenges.
In addition to bilateral talks, Nawrocki will participate in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly, a significant event that gathers global leaders to discuss pressing international issues. The Polish president’s itinerary also includes meetings with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, UN General Assembly President Chalilur Rahman, and the chairperson of the African Union, highlighting Poland’s active engagement in global diplomacy.
Reflecting on past international tragedies, President Nawrocki and First Lady Marta Nawrocka paid their respects to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. This gesture marks a moment of solidarity and remembrance during their stay in the United States.
