Polish President Karol Nawrocki has embarked on a three-day official visit to the Philippines, aimed at enhancing political, economic, and technological collaboration between the two nations. Upon his arrival, President Nawrocki is set to engage in bilateral and delegation-level discussions with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., focusing on the potential areas of cooperation and strengthening the ties between Poland and the Philippines.
A significant highlight of Nawrocki’s visit is his participation in the 5th Polish-Philippine IT Business Summit, where he will also meet with participants of a Polish-Philippine hackathon. This engagement underscores the emphasis on exploring avenues for economic collaboration, particularly in the technology sector.
In addition to his economic engagements, President Nawrocki will visit the University of Santo Tomas in Manila to interact with students, aiming to foster educational and cultural relations. He will also meet with members of the Polish community and individuals who have played roles in enhancing Polish-Philippine relations.
The final day of the visit will see President Nawrocki at the Col. Jesus Villamor Air Base. This visit is particularly noteworthy as it is where the Philippine Air Force stations its Black Hawk helicopters, which are manufactured by Poland’s PZL Mielec, highlighting a key aspect of the defense cooperation between the two countries.
