Türkiye has once again expressed its readiness to facilitate a new round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. This announcement comes from Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov, who highlighted Türkiye’s willingness to host discussions aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict. The statement followed a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, underscoring Türkiye’s commitment to diplomatic engagement.
Ushakov pointed out that recent drone attacks by Ukraine on Russian soil have hindered the possibility of a face-to-face meeting between President Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
